Founded in 1995 by Henry Klein, Applied Plastics has more than 70 years serving the plastics industry with custom rod, tube, and profile extrusion capabilities. Headquartered in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, Applied Plastics features a team of 69 employees who bring with them decades of experience to help customers succeed, all led by President Joe Klein.

Featuring 22 extrusion lines, in-house tooling capabilities, and ample warehouse space, the Oak Creek facility continues to serve as the home base for Applied Plastics. Its central location is ideal for rapid turnaround times and shipments to Applied’s diverse customer base.

In September 2026, Applied Plastics was acquired by The Rowmark Group (TRG), headquartered in Findlay, Ohio. TRG is the world’s leading manufacturer of extruded plastic for the signage, engraving, and awards industries as well as large-format sheet products for thermoforming and flat-panel applications. 

The acquisition by TRG marks a new chapter in the storied history of Applied Plastics. The company is well-positioned for growth, and the synergies with TRG provide exciting opportunities for customers of both organizations.
